Posting To The Newsgroups
Please consult the official newsgroup
usage guidelines for information on proper posting.
Remember,
-
Post questions in the single most appropriate newsgroup, and do not cross-
or multi-post.
-
Do not type in ALL CAPS - that's shouting.
-
Explain your problem clearly and provide error messages and code snippets.
Do not quote large amounts of prior posts. Do not throw large program source
in your post. Do not expect people to help you with general questions like
"what's wrong with this thousand line program".
-
Be courteous at all times. Be aware that not all posters use English as
their primary language. Do not flame (insult, argue or use SHOUTING) or
troll (attempt to provoke other users).
-
Post in the newsgroup - don't e-mail newgroup participants unless specifically
invited.
-
No attachments or HTML.
Thanks!
Before posting a question it is wise to search http://www.deja.com
(make sure to include the "archive" of older postings in your search)
or http://www.mers.com (Borland newsgroups
only, but less powerful search capability).
TeamB and STARs
In the newsgroups you may see mail addresses or signatures referring to TeamB.
TeamB is a volunteer association of persons nominated by other TeamB members
who assist in the newsgroups on a frequent basis. More
detail on TeamB is available from a page at the Borland site.
Please don't specifically request TeamB help in the newsgroups. Also, please
do not directly e-mail TeamB members.
Newsgroup STARs
are people who are recognized for helpfulness in the newsgroups. Often they
become TeamB members when an opening exists.
