Web Development and Internet Projects

MassMutual Financial Group - Developed and maintained individual project web documents for use by stakeholders and eBusiness management. Took initiative to create, maintain and publicize eTechnology Knowledge Base website to collect articles and links related to web development technology and business models. (All developed with Dreamweaver UltraDev). Assisted with the creation of enterprise web development methodology. Devised and prototyped XML processing architecture for dynamic data driven web sites connected to legacy systems. Project lead for E-Mail Push, E-Mail Response Management and Digital Asset Management product acquisitions. Created working mockup of next generation technology prototype (including database driven product pages and financial shopping cart) to show how new technologies might enhance massmutual.com (developed with Dreamweaver UltraDev). Created eBusiness Product Acquisition methodology to aid in selection and adoption of Internet-related products.

V-Technologies - ShipGear product (integrated 30 accounting systems with "n" shipping systems) middleware architecture; designed, developed, tested and integrated over 100 component classes and several wrappers for communications (including sockets, COM, CORBA and CGI). Integrated with IIS and used web for testing.


Outside Activities Related to Web Development and Internet Projects

Developed and maintain personal website for programmer support (connected with my TeamB membership), and for graphics, writing and music, since 1997; 800+ pages, 1,500 files, 11,000+ internal links, 1,200+ external links, database; ASP (VBScript, server and client side Javascript). Developed with Dreamweaver UltraDev and Fireworks 4. 17,000 sessions per week average.

Developed and maintained taxonomy database driven New England Trail Review and its content and taxonomy management applications.

Developed initial web site for Stone Age Rock Gym

Developed prototype web site for Carebid.com

Speaker at Society for Technical Communication year 2001 annual conference; presented "XML and Digital Asset Management". Scheduled for year 2002 annual conference, to present "Writing Atomic Content for a Taxonomy-Driven Website."
